This as all done with just a few lights and a white sheet! I am very pleased with the product i got from it!

Very interesting, Clarkage. What are you going for here? Or is it a secret until the unveiling? I looks pretty cool (except for the wicked compression).

Great to see you underway!

Good luck,

Ted

Yea in this picture it looks a bit too grainy... I am EXTREMELY happy about how this came out though! I didn't really think that it would work but this is really just a white sheet and a light being used.

What are you going for here?
Well, I want to keep it somewhat of a secret. But, I will tell you, This is where he is going to make the decision of what he is going to do with an hour back from his life. To find out more you are just going to have to watch! ;)

Well, I watch them all... so don't worry about that! And I don't mind mind being teased with tidbits along the way.

I am glad that you got the effect you were looking for. Always a great feeling.

And I do like the idea that this kid is about to decide what he is going to do with that hour. Very cool.

Keep up the good work!

Thanks CP! I still am looking for a cast!!! I think I have someone that I can use, but she isn't sure if she has time yet. Does anyone think that if I post something up in the job section on here I will get any decent actors?

How is the production coming? Are you going to be posting any more grabs??? Looking forward to it!

Wow! Quite a composer for a first-time fest entry! Great job!

I remember my first entry's music was 100% freeplaymusic.com

ha!

Hi Clarkage,

Great - I see your film is uploaded. I saw on the compression thread that you had some problems with output, but you obviously solved them. Looking forward to watching it.

Great job on this film... I really enjoyed both the story & the message!
It seems there might be some compression problems with the output, but that's about all I can say. The camera work was good and the score really added to the film.

Congratulations to cast & crew on creating a wonderful film!

Cool effect with the overexposure look. I liked the jump cuts, they kept the film from sagging during the discussion. The music was nice.

Stuff to think about: I thought the story could have been stronger and the last hour motivation didn’t work so well for me. Also, the audio echoed for the main character.

Thanks for posting!

BTW, nice lighting setup. Reminds me of my lights!

I like your story - it works. Your MC is pretty good. Above all I like that you broke the rule of continuity and crossed the line. I think it works here very well, because the MC is in a completely white colored room. Compliments.

I liked the story also, but dont think you didnt enough with it. If he has an hour and knows he needs to save the girl, then I would think he would be spending that hour trying to find her, not sitting on a curb waiting for her.

I think what would have been much stronger is he he spends that hour trying to find her, he cant, then as the final seconds tick down he sees she is about to go into the street and he gets there just in time to save her again but gets hit himself, again. I thnk there is a much stronger message if he chooses to do the same thing again, even knowing he is going to get hit as opposed to the "happy hollywood ending" where they both make it.

Just my thoughts on what I think was almost a really great story.
