MORE DETAILS:

[We are formerly known as the "Los Angeles HVX200 User Group." With all these new P2 cameras, it only made sense to change our name.]

So here we go . . . post-CineGear! :)

Bring your HVX200 (or any other P2-enabled) camera and any other accessories you want to show off! It will make it easier for everybody to gain as much hands-on experience as possible.

Please post here to let me know if you will be attending and what you will bring (if anything). Otherwise, I will assume you are not coming and we'll plan accordingly. $10 donation requested for food/drinks and location host appreciation.

Special Presentations directly by:

SPECIAL REQUEST: If anybody can bring a projector
and a screen
, please let me know! It would be nice to
show some of our productions.

I'm in. Will be bringing my HVX-Letus EX-Nikon Lenses.

Looking to make contacts in the P2 community for film projects I am gearing up for in early fall.

Maybe we should add the announcement to our signatures for the next coupla weeks, so our on-topic posts in other forums gets the word out?

Good idea. I'm just wondering if a lot of people are actually planning on showing up but have yet to post.

Well, considering it seems you guys hold them once every 6 months, I can see why people aren't refreshing the meetup forum like mad

In looking at the address on Mapquest, it looks like it's at a house or is Mapquest showing me the wrong location?

Cool! Looking forward to seeing you guys again (and meeting some new faces). :)

Still working on a "special guest."

I'm curious, do any of you guys make your money primarily shooting your own thing? I mean not just as a freelancer for other people's projects.

Background pays my bills, but let's face it, not exactly what I came to LA to do. Hoping you guys can give me some insight when we all meet.
