HD Monitor for set

I'm shooting an indy feature in 6 weeks and I need some advice on a monitor for on set. The panasonic monitors are hugely expensive so I'm wondering if it's required to used one that expensive or if I could use my 20" Samsung computer monitor?

for focus? yes.

I used a 20 dell lcd monitor while filming a movie in florida and attached it in the back seat of a car so i could see what the camera work was at all time to direct. Like Jack Daniel Stanley said. focus yes, color no. You will have to base your color off of your lcd screen in-camera. because the same f-stop image on your camera will not be the same on your computer monitor. Your better off buying like a small panasonic hd 9 inch monitor or whatever and plug it in while filming if you need both. They are not cheap though.
