Lenses for HPX- 3000

[lhdor]

Hello,
We have just purchased an HPX-3000 and I am looking into accessories. What would you recommend for lenses, nikon, or canon?

[Icarus2005]

Dude, if you're n LA then private mail me and you can try out my lenses and I'll show you pros and cons.

there are no Nikon lenses, your only real choices are Canon, Fujinon. there are couple others but not worth looking into.

if this is for cinematic work, then that's another matter. You'll want either an adaptor and primes, or digiprimes.

Thanks for the offer Icarus but unfortunatly I am in MA. I was looking at the Canon HJ22 and the HJ40 x10. What are your thoughts on those?

[Hunter Hampton]

Those are some heavy lenses, not to mention extremely expensive for both, are you keeping your hpx on sticks? I have heard great things about the 26x7.8 AIF HD by Angenieux, That might cover all of your lens needs. Here is a link: http://www.angenieux.com/

Good luck.

I have the 105.3 from Angenieux, ands it rocks!

Nice! how does Angenieux compare to Fujinon or Canon?

[watson]

How much does the angenieux 26x7.8 AIF go for?

I think it is just as good. Angeniex makes lenses for film cameras, and my wide angle on the HPX is sweet.

Angenieux seems to undercut Canon and fujinon just a bit. But im guessing around 18k-ish if you get a nice deal on it. There are also a few used ones for sale.
