Sachtler DV6 ok for EX+Letus?

I am thinking about purchasing a Sachtler combo of the DV6 head and the cf 75 tripod for my EX1+Letus Extreme. Right now the EX1+Letus+my "heaviest" Nikkor are about 6kg (=12lb). Sachtler writes on it's german page about the DV6, the head is is made for 1-9kg (=2-18lb) I am wondering if the DV6 would be my head to go or if I should go up to the DV8 ? What if I am going to buy a matte box and follow focus and even perhaps an LCD monitor in future - would the DV6 still be a good choice?

An about the cf 75 tripod: Is it really worth the price difference ?

best regards
Rainer

i got it, nice high quality tripod. i use with xh a1 + lex and ikan v8000hd monitor, head works fine, though legs are a bit weak, about CF legs, don't know if they are worth it, just maybe to save some weight, but i suggest you to go with Speedlock legs, 1 knob for both leg levels, not separate as i have...

Hi Tomas

today I got my DV6 with CF legs. They are great! Just one snapper for each leg, very easy and fast to use and the DV6 head is also top! 75mm is smaller than I expected, but for the EX1+Letus+extras the set is absolutely great and you can "feel" the quality in every part. I would take it again!

I have the DV-6SB and my literature stated that the capcity is 20lbs. You should be okay but realize that my HVX/Letus/MatteBox/Filters/Follow focus weighs in at 18lbs. Unfortunately I want add a Carrion monitor, that will be 3.5lbs, plus a battery system will add another pound or two. I may try to affix the monitor to the tripod legs instead of the head to take the relief off of the head.

The Miller Solo DV legs that I use are rated to 44lbs so no problem there.
