Filmed in Jacksonville Beach, FL. My friends new puppy, Happy. Filmed on DVX100, 24p and 60i mixed timeline in Premiere Pro CS3. I'd love to learn how to shoot widescreen or at least fake it. If you have any tips or links, please hook me up!

gahhhh I need to get one soo bad. The one thing I miss about living with my parents is having a great dog to spend time with. You know I'm obsessed when I have a photo of my dog on my desk and not my gf :-p

For you DVX, you can do the following;

Shoot normal and add widescreen bars in post.
Shoot squeeze, and then when you DVD it be sure to select 16:9.
Shoot letterbox and the DVX adds bars for ya.

He has the original DVX100, so no squeeze mode. And Letterbox just adds black bars on top of 4x3 footage, so it's not acual 16x9 footage, while the squeeze mode is "true" 16x9 pixels.

Sorry I wasn't super detailed. I have the 100B, so I do have squeeze mode. I shot some of this footage in squeeze mode. I guess I'm confused as to how to add the letterbox in Premiere, and also how to setup Quicktime to export to widescreen rather than 4:3.

Arges: y the way, I made this video for some special friends. Their border collie passed away recently and since they don't have any kids, that was their baby. Now they have a new one to keep the smiles comin.

Thanks for your help gents!

I found the crop feature, is that how its done in Premiere? I cropped the top and bottom 20% for the footage that was shot in squeeze.
