Best Way to Shoot for Multiple Formats

HI
I wanted to get opinions on a project I am working on. I am using a DVX100B. I am shooting clips of physical therapy exercises that will be viewed across multiple formats including online, dvd, plasma screens, interlaced screens, and possibly HD up rez's if we start shooting HD and need to mix media on a HD DVD.
I have read Barry's book and I am debating about whether to shoot 30progressive or 60i and whether to use squeeze mode or letterboxing. Immediately I think squeeze mode would look best online and on DVD but if I am going to do an HD up rez on the footage in the future, Barry's book suggests that letterboxing would be better. If I do letterboxing I can't make widescreen DVD's like I could if I shot in squeeze mode. I don't know if I should restrain the project because it will be watched on some interlaced TV's or shoot 30progressive because ultimately as time passes plasma screens and LCD screens will be dominate and it will look great on those.
Any suggestions or opinions would be great. Thanks
Ben

Frame Rate: 24p should be fine for all of that work. It's be great for online, for native 24p DVD's, and for broadcast/interlaced, well that works to, with pull down added, either by the DVD player, or when you go back to tape.

Aspect Ratio: SQUEEZE is very flexible. If you find that SQUEEZE is better for 16:9 than uprezzing LETTERBOX/NORMAL footage, then it will be a better source for HD uprez than LETTERBOX/NORMAL would be. You can always take a SQUEEZE project and output a 4:3 LETTERBOX version later, it'll look great, but going the other way isn't so great sometimes.

Hi
Thanks for the reply, you said that it is better to shoot in squeeze mode as it is good for uprezzing to HD and for 16:9. I am kind of confused how you can use squeezed footage in 4:3 without it looking squeezed? You mentioned adding black bars but I don't see how that would work?

Drop the SQUEEZE footage into a 4:3 timeline, and it'll look like 4:3 with LETTERBOX, floating in the center of the screen.

And SQUEEZE doesn't need to be uprezzed to 16:9... it is 16:9! It's like any other 16:9 footage, from an XL2, or any other camera.
