Sorry to start two threads this weekend, but when I sold my VX2100, I also sold my Lowepro Mini Trekker since the buyer paid extra for it in the hurry he was in to take it on a trip, so I'm now bagless. So I was wondering what bags other people are using out there at a reasonable price maybe a Lowepro, or Tamrac, or Ogio. There's so many models I'm not sure what would accomidate my HVX. And I'm hoping to keep it under $200 please, but thanks in advance!

I'm guessing that you are after a backpack?

In addition to the ones you mentioned, I'd recommend looking into Kata bags too - pricy, but real nice :)

yeah that seems to be what I hear about the Ty 2 on skateperception. But I'll check that bag put now, thanks Mike!

I would recommend against the CineBags CB-22 HD camera bag.

It is a really good design and has lots of sweet compartments and waterproof-ish pouches. I love the flexibility of the interior. However...

I do snowboarding videography with my HVX200 and I find it's much too tight of a fit for the camera. Also, the plastic clips for the chest strap and hip belt are not rugged enough and get jammed often, especially when you're wearing gloves in the extremes and can't align them perfectly.

There's no good way to secure a tripod to the outside, either.

The cord that's supposed to secure a water bottle wasn't attached at one end when I got the bag. That compartment doesn't really securely hold a water bottle anyway, as it's not big (tall?) enough. Over the four months that I've had it, the handle at the top of the bag wore out and became detached on one end. I'm worried that over time, more will go wrong with it.

I'm sending it back to CineBags now for repair or replace, which they seem happy to do... That's the one good thing.
