Sony EX1 Cosmetic Paint Issue

Have had the camera 1 week, and used it everyday.

I used this camera for one job. It was rented from a friend which owned for about 1 month. The problem was already present. Nothing severe yet but very disappointing for this level of hardware.
He'd since send it back and is still waiting for the return. He was not too happy with the costumer service from Sony either.
But I was quite impressed with the image quality. He likes it too.
