Is there a "go to" equipment rentals site?

I've yet to find a good website that effectively brings together all the rental houses and indies who rent out various gear in many cities. I assume I just haven't stumbled upon it yet, so does anyone know of such a site?
For example, I need a wireless lav package in Chicago, is there a site that would make it a 30 second errand to see exactly who has them available, and pricing/contact info/deposit terms/etc.

Try http://www.peraonline.org There are many rental houses that are not members as well. I don't know of any one site that lists every rental house, but that would be nice indeed.
For audio, everything from music shops and guitar stores can rent audio gear like what your asking for. Wheather or not their gear is any good is another question. Most PERA members are known to stand behind their rentals and will get you a replacement/ or "good enough" stand in, should any gear they rent fail to perform .

Yah, that site is interesting, but hard to navigate, and pretty stuffy in their requirements for membership. I'm actually looking to advertise my own gear more, but don't really do enough business to justify spending more than $300 a year or so on ads. Besides Craigs List, what other sites do you guys look at when you're searching for gear? I guess the scatter shot approach of simply placing repeating ads on a bunch of sites is the best way at this time.

i know some of the indie (craigslist) guys in l.a. also rent out other people's gear. maybe you can find this in vegas too. if not, here in l.a., my buddy travis at hdpioneers.com does it. he is very trustworthy. maybe you can work it out with him to ship back n forth.
