While Fat Monster California has been paying the rent by shooting music vids, Fat Monster New York (Mike Hechanova) has been shooting footage for our TimeFest entry! I'm delighted to receive some BTS from Mike's foray into the canyons of Manhattan. Note the last pic which had the simple caption: "Drunk Fat Monster NY Chicks" ... Gotta Love It!

Awww! Send 'em out Mike! We'll take good care of them and turn them into celebrities!!! Tim even says he'll make space in his bed for 'em!

We'll get some of the raw frames up shortly, Brandon. Running three cameras generated an astounding amount of footage and we're slogging through the process of logging it all and bringing it into FCP. At least this time the footage doesn't have to be flipped.

This project is obviously going to be pretty intensive with regard to post since it's all going to have to be keyed. We're going to go ahead and buy another 8-Core MacPro so we can get a decent work flow going on this stuff.

The label is really hot to trot to get this finished because they're planning a big release in just a month or so.
 
While you're at it, send a Mac Pro my way, eh!?

I'm just about finished negotiating the purchase of an HVX at the moment.

I already feel behind the times ;)
 
Stebbs, man, I haven't seen you around here in a long while. Whassup? Have you been able to do any more work on your music-based short?

Hi Tomas. No, we're still in preproduction. The stuff we're shooting right now is for paying clients. Our TimeFest shoot will be May 24-25th.

Nice to hear from you. Glad to hear you're getting the camera out, man. Go kick some butt!
 
Preproduction is humming smoothly so far. We just added some significant support for the VFX tasks and we should bme able to release a full crew list very soon.

Today we (Tim, Bullis and me) are going to visit the Corrado set. They are shooting today at the Gower Lofts in Hollywood where Fat Monster has often shot music video sequences. In fact, way back on the NUDE video shoot we drug over about two dozen wooden chairs that we had picked up from a Mexican restaurant going out of business and we didn't get around to moving them so they've kind of become permanent fixtures at the Gower Lofts. Matty G and Siniarch (Luis) report that Corrado is using them. That figures. The Fat Monster chairs are doing better in Hollywood than we are!
