update of the HPX500

We know that the HPX170 will hit the marcket in fall 2008 (probably september). Is there a chance that at about the same time there will also be an (software) update for the 500 where they incorporate features like last "last clip delete button", vectorscope/waveform, play back any clip without having to dig into the menus to get the recording format it is shot in, date/time stamp, more frame rates and all the other gadgets of the 170?

Would love that. The HPX is more and more my immediate next camera...untill the Scarlet next summer.

I am still doubting between the 170 and the 500. The 500 is more light sensitive and has more lattitude and is a bit sharper (620000 vs 520000 pixels), PAL/NTSC switachable, 4 XLRs etc but the 170 has the lovely form factor and almost all the wishes from the 200 (which would also be appropriate for the 500) are now incorporated. Very very hard decission to make but than again I have still 5 months to think about it

Cees,
Don't forget the 500 has a 2/3" imager, which means it will be a lot easier to throw the background out of focus! Personally, that's one of the biggest plusses on the 500, in my mind.
