"Berlin" - A Norm Sanders Film - DVD NOW AVAILABLE

Thanks, Ian! I'm contacting the rep at Discmakers tomorrow to get them the Master. It's all complete & ready for replication.

I've been trying to figure a way to be able to hold HD versions of the film in both WMV and mp4 (for you Mac guys) on the disc in a folder, accessible via the computer), but there's not enough room due to all the other content. Since I personally prefer the gamma in the rendered WMV files, I'm only going to be including that one as the WMV. Most people I know that have Mac's can still play WMV's on their systems as well, so hopefully that's fine. The mp4 keeps having the audio just a few frames out of sync with the video anyway.

I'll get up a 3D image of what the case looks like (Jeremy rocked it!), as well as all the final content .... most likely tomorrow. I'm still working on final renders today of the trailers, since I realized for the DVD I had done them with the CC off.

Lastly, I've played around with having a copy of "Where Silence Falls" to play from the Special Features section. Not sure what my reasoning would be in the DVD (i.e. what to title it other than "previous short film", or whatever. Since the film did well, and is a nice contrast to "Berlin", not to mention the fact that much of the same cast & crew worked on it as well it could be interesting to put on there, and should be JUST enough room to make it fit.

Thoughts? Would you folks want it included in the DVD, or just make it all BERLIN, only?

I'll get all of this stuff updated to the front of the thread eventually, but first have to tackle the website ASAP. I'll also get to that production journal around then too, Brandon. :)

Here's the background of the animated menu, as well as screen grabs of the various menu pages on the DVD, for those who are interested:

Stuff looks good Norm, and yeah, I'd include WSF... nice little bonus, and all you'd have to label it as is Bonus Film: Where Silence Falls... Just a thought...

Looking forward to that production journal as well

Hide it as an Easter Egg somewhere on the DVD (do people still do easter eggs anymore?), or just put it right above TRAILERS on the Special Feature section?

Norm,

Beautiful stuff there. Very pro!

One note: Under 'Audio Setup', it says Director y Commentary? Is that a typo? Is it supposed to be Director Commentary?

It looks great and congratulations!

LOL! Yes, that's a typo. I'm SO glad I posted these now! ;)

Thanks for the headsup, Robert, as well as the compliment on the stuff.

Thanks everyone! Pre-orders can hopefully be accepted this week, but I've first got to get the website all together. I'm working with Discmakers today/tomorrow in getting them the master.

Jeremy, If you could update those special features or DVD contents, that'd be great! I've added "Where Silence Falls" as the Bonus Film ... can just state bonus film, don't have to state the title if there's no room.

Also need that final Poster, as I'll be putting that order in at the same time as well. :)

Jeremy, can you check out the templates again from Discmakers? I just got off the phone with someone that said they've got PDF templates that can be imported seamlessly into Photoshop ... apparently they'll need the PSD file with their PDF layer in it.

Also, they offer UPC Barcode for free. I had a retailer pick up SPARROW once for some resales, and perhaps a UPC would help retailers if anyone wanted to pick up a few copies of BERLIN, etc. You can decide where you want the UPC to fit on the back. Maybe just plaster it right over Rebecca's face? Kidding! She could be lowered some, or reduced in size to make room, since she's already on the front as well ... but you're the designer, so whatever you think is best!

That was still the best moment in DVXFest history. "Should I take my shirt off now?"

"Guys? I could, you know, if it helps, I could take my shirt off..."
