Yea and I am doing a bit more research on primes before I hit you up with an other huge PM filled with questions like that last one, you know I value your opinion so I want to work up some specific questions before I ask for your help again :D

I was wondering whether it would be helpful to each briefly introduce ourselves and what we are currently working on, maybe each post a list of the gear we have and what we are thiking about acquiring next...

What do you think David?

Also do you think it might be helpful to send a short PM to each of the last meet participants to inform them we started a thread for us LA dvxuser to network, share, help each other etc...

Meanwhile here are a couple shots we shot at the last meeting with the dolly (see end of clip) plus raw footage from my intial try-out inside the indie dolly warehouse... far from perfect, but still fun. Clip lenght: under 2 min.

Hello! David Collupy is my name, shootin' movies is my game. Got this handy dandy HVX200 thingy with a sweeeeeet arse 35mm adapter (Cinevate's Brevis). Have Avid on a worksation and on my laptop. Too much gear to list, but not enough to stop buying more! Such as the Cinevate Flip Module & Follow Focus.

Was shooting for April but NAB seems to be the big focus that month. Working on May . . .
 
I'm glad you brought that up.

Here's the situation . . .

1. With the advent of even more P2 cameras, I think the "Los Angeles HVX200" User Group will now become the "Los Angeles P2HD User Group." The focus, of course, will be on Panasonic P2 cameras. I think this change only makes sense.

2. I was recently hired to shoot a documentary which will be taking me through Africa and Europe (more on that later). This will be happening during the month of May. So, I will try to schedule our next meeting for June sometime.

I second the P2 group!
And I am up for suggestions for dates.

No way to make it in a week? I could... so long as we can get the word out and everyone can make it.

?? sure.. kinds far into the future though... I wonder if we'll have teleportation or just flying cars by then. : )
 
LOL - well, I'm off to another part of the world for awhile and that would give me ample to to plan. :)
 
hummm... planning... hummm... I say I write something, you DP it and we get like 8 teams HVX's and adapters and shoot a feature in a day
