Who's going to NAB and is there a party ?

Last year they had an internet cafe area. But I wouldn't doubt it expands this year. No facts though, just guessing since it makes so much sense.

I'm getting in on a media pass, and I know that feeling. Rad Show for free... and all I have to do is continue to write for my college paper...

According to the info I found.... There are 3 Wi-Fi hotspots at NAB. I did not see a map to where they are however. I'm sure they will tell you when you register, and perhaps it is highlighted on the official map.

I'm going. Will be at the DV Tec booth helping Danny and staying at the Hilton. Looking to track down some sort of DVXuser get together...

I don't know if it's hiding somewhere in the last 8 pages of this thread, but will there be a DVX party afterall? I'll be at the post production world courses mostly, or visiting friends at nNovia and Elemental Technologies' booths.

No one has come forward as of yet. I should say that Jarred alluded to the fact that Jason (our beloved administrator) may be working on this. Still waiting to find out ...

Haven't heard anything. My deal was just if anyone wanted to throw something.

otherwise, if we all want to meet up one night at some place and have drinks/food or whatever, I'm game depending on my schedule. I've just been too busy to try to do much more. Should something change, I'll be sure and post up about it.

Later,
Jason

Thanks for the WiFi update... I hope there is good coverage, but I'd imagine that if coverage is good the speed will suck due to the fact it will be loaded up...

24.95/day is just lame... I'd rather pay for T-Mobile's starbucks connection! I guess I'm just stuck with AT&T's 2.5G on my iPhone when I'm away from those places.

Thanks...

Billy

haha yea, thats what EVDO is for... For about 2-3 days cost of Convention center / hotel wifi you have your montly bill payed for.
But it only makes sense if you do more then one event a month... This is my fourth time in vegas this year so far for conventions.

I was walking through today and was able to snag some free wifi that seems to be turned on in the convention center (and owned by them?) here and there. If you walk around enough you'll definitely get something.
