I'm just starting to put a kit together and want to purchase a wireless mic system. Anyone have thoughts on Sennheiser Evolution G2 100 Series Wireless Mic system which is going for around $550, apposed to the Azden 300LT Compact UHF Wireless system which is going for around $400. Any and all information welcome!

I know that the higher end azden like the 500 and 1000's are great mics but not sure of the 300. i do do have the 500 and it works great, but i also have the small azen the 31lt and they pretty well. so im guessing the 300 will do pretty well. but from what i hear you cant go wrong with sennheiser.

I am at a loss to know what to go for as well. I will typically have two people talking back and forth and using wireless lav. Do I have to buy an entire system (each) for each person talking? Doesn't Azden brag about having two wireless lav and one unit. argh.. this is new to me - and wish on this dvx100 section there was a beginners guide - sticky - that talks about Lighting, On Camera mic, Pole sound, Wireless Mic, On Camera Lighting. I think that would cut down on the same numbers of questions being asked.

Jim--there are forums here at DVX User for audio, lighting, etc... if more people would go to them, that also might cut down on the number of the same questions being asked. :)

But, to answer your question, you need one body-pack transmitter and mic for each person talking. Typically, with camera-mount mics, that means one receiver per transmitter, although there may be some dual receiver units out there.
