Hey all,
I posted this a few months ago in the footage section, but I would like to share more recent developments. The film "Thoughts on Departure"just got accepted into the Virginia Film Office Film Competition, screening the 26th and 26th of April. Currently the film is in a final round of judging which will determine if it takes top place in its category.
Anyway, the whole competition starts the 26th of April and is being held at the Byrd Theater in Richmond, VA. It houses a respectable screen so if you want to see some DVX/Brevis footage on the big screen, here is a chance. I'm looking forward to see how it turns out.
This is the theater:
I'll update once I know the order of the screenings.
Thoughts on Departure is a personal look of moving away from home for the first time, and all the feelings, fears, and experiences that go with it. It was completed December, 2007 originally for a film class at VCU and was received reasonably well. I'm hoping it can grow some legs in some local fests.
