Hello group!

I was shooting yesterday and after the first three shots noticed that I was not getting audio. I was using the internal mic because the camera was on a gluidecam. I quickly check all the settings and they were ok ( volume was good, both switches to internal, both externals were off and in the menu the audio was on. I was shooting in 720 30pn. It seems strange to me because I have shot this format before with great audio. I then switch to 720 30p and the audio was back. I though this was strange because I have shot in 720 30pn may times and always had audio. I tried to go back to 720 30 pn on the day of the shot but no audio.

The next day I got my manual out and read as my posts as possible to try to fix the problem. Yet I found nothing. Then i went back to the camera and started checking and everything was ok. I did not change any settings. I'm wondering if there is a software problem.

Thank Matt p

The camera will not record audio in native (PN) mode if the recording framerate doesn't match the format, i.e. if you overcrank or undercrank. If you accidentally modified the scene file to create a framerate mismatch, turning the camera off without saving the scene file would have gotten you back to your stored scene files, and you would get audio again. That scenario matches your experience.

Yes that is correct. Thanks. But I did not change the frame rates. I did have it in film mode and the rate was on default. I guess the default was set at 24. I must have changed it at some point. I just did not change it that day.

Thanks matt p
