Here is a link to a performance based music video my twin and I directed for a punk band called "Time Again": www.myspace.com/timeagain

They are signed with Hellcat records. Let me know what you guys think.

P.S.

The video is right now in the "featured videos" music video section of Myspace. It's on the bottom right corner, it'll only be there this week and then it's gone. For some reason, the compression looks like TRASH!!! Leave it up to people who don't know how to compress for the internet and this is what you get. But here is the link:

Before I watched your music video I was very worried that the band was going to be some awful "pop punk" group. I was pleasantly wrong. Moving on.

I really dug that video! It was great, especially for a single location performance. Loved your coloring, quick pacing, composition, and lighting. Top notch. The only thing I didn't like was the slight over use of out of focus shots.

That band sounded a lot like Rancid. I really like their music.

Actually a lot of people call time again "Tim Again" in regards to the lead singer sounding a lot like Tim Armstrong from Rancid. Time Again is signed to Tim Armstrong's record label "Hellcat Records". Also Tim Armstrong and Daniel Dart (time again lead singer) are very good friends and he doesn't mind the comparisons.

Ha ha, yeah we did go a little crazy with those focus shots. Thanks for the good word though!!

ditto on the tim armstrong voice.
Nice job man!
This is a huge step up from all the hellcat videos i've seen lately.
I'm guessing the budget was pretty small?

Yeah it was pretty small, just over $1,000. I did swing some deals to keep it that way though, it could have cost a lot more. Yeah, there are some real hit and misses on Hellcat fore sure. I hope this one will help strengthen the fan base.

Nate forgot to mention the use of "The Reverse Lens", where the 85mm prime fell off during a crazy rack focus, then when I put it back on I noticed it'd be cool to hold the lens in place and wiggle it, then I tried it backwards and it looked even cooler.

Ghetto yes,.. but sweet none-the-lens. (that rhymed)

For all-yall: Look forward to the fackrell bro's next music video from RED, it is crazy cool!

Love you Nate.

hard to enjoy hvx200 video when its used for something like this you know....i wish hvx200's could only be used for good music videos like Seal, dave matthews, stuff like that...or feature films (no crappy horror or druggie movies, lol)...well, i can keep wishing.

Yeah I hear you dude, I only wish they'd use 35mm film cameras to shoot "good" movies, like Michael Bay films. Because there aren't any good movies, I mean it really is a shame that they allow other filmmakers (other than Michael Bay) to make movies. In fact only Michal Bay should be allowed to make movies. I mean, it really is hard to enjoy a film when it's not made by Michael Bay. Well, I guess I can keep wishing for that day to come too huh?

P.S.
They really should pass a law that only allows Michael Bay to use the HVX200, then we'll see some "good" movies.

nice work, dug the track and the vid. wondering what you did to achieve that distorted broken tv-ish look at the begining?

Good job!!
Great color correction and editing (beginning is very nice!!) but I found it a little bit boring maybe because all the shots were from in front of the band. Missing maybe a little bit of crowd.
