Solarised LCD mystery

I did a helicopter shoot on Friday, and once in the cockpit, noticed that my DVX100B's LCD screen had started solarising. The shadow parts change colour, and it does not refresh fast enough on moving shots to show detail on grass, etc.

I have tried resetting the camera, but to no avail - it records like this now. Going in for servicing tomorrow.

I understand that this particular helicopter, a Bell 407, has some pretty powerful onboard electronics which may interfere with the DVX.

Has anyone else encountered this?

Was it really, really cold up there? Sounds like what happens when an LCD gets cold perhaps? Does it still behave that way down on the ground?

No, it started on the ground, and were were doing REALLY low level stuff. Never higher than 300ft off the deck.

No, as I said above, the camera RECORDED it like that, not only displayed it as solarised. I checked the footage in another camera afterwards.

That would explain what happened to me the other day. I was shooting on a beach once and all the colors in the LCD looked horrible, but when I brought the camera back inside and played back everything looked fine.
