Better look for local shows

I shoot 2 interview style shows weekly for a local tv station with 2 100b's and 1 100a. I've been trying to get less of a local look to the show. any suggestions on settings to get a more history/discovery channel look to these interviews?

Do you use lighting ? Softbox's ? Gel's ? It has a lot to do with composition of your camera , and lighting to get great looking video . I shoot similar stuff but I'm in the same boat right now where we don't have any working softbox lights , waiting on them to come back from repair but I'd recommend a softbox setup to help if you aren't already.
