Maybe I'm just too dumb

Not really, but I do need some help. I jost got and HVX200 and we want to start recording in dvcpro HD. We have been capturing over firewire to onlocation with our old camera and as I understood it, I should be able to capture dvcpro hd the same way, but I can't seem to find the right settings. Onlocation recognizes the camera, but the camera will only let me select 480 resolutions. How do I set the camera to allow me to shoot in dvcpro hd and capture to onlocation?

This may seem like an obvious question but are you certain the camera is in P2 mode and not tape mode?
(using the switch on the back left)

And perhaps make sure the recording mode selected in the HVX menu (ie 720pn) is the same as what you have OnLocation set to capture.

Well, if shooting 720 it would have to be 720P (not PN)
The HVX won't send the PN signal out the firewire port.

Looks like I am just too dumb! It was set to tape mode and I knew it, I just couldn't find the button to switch to P2 mode. Found, everything is good now, thanks for the help.
