- Can't wait to see what Mr. Brown has up his sleeve this time, what a genius.
I'm really excited to see all of the new models coming out lately.

Nice find!

Sounds like some important upgrades. Supprized they annouced a week "early" though.

I wish I could make NAB to test it.

- Adjustable carbon fiber post
- Tool free adjustments on the fly

The new Pilot has an adjustable carbon fiber post, but they had not updated the flyer to that style yet. I'm glad they did.

ah... so footage should be about the same as the old flyer stuff?

does the carbon fiber post make the unit overall lighter or just improve structural integrity?

- Tool free adjustments on the fly.

As far as I can tell, there are no new tools-free adjustments. [Except the telescoping.]

The telescoping post and 4lb increase in camera capacity (which are related actually) is the majority of the upgrade, and that all versions are now 24v ready.

In most ways, it's almost identical to the "classic" Flyer, it just holds a little more. I'd expect it to perform practically identically to the "classic" Flyer.

The gimbal is definitely beefed up a bit. I like that. The post itself looks a bit thicker too. No?

Mikko, are you sure about that MSRP and availability? Where did you find that info?

Yeah, the post does appear to be a little thicker. I suspect the sled may be a little more ridged now.
I never had a problem with the smaller gimbal, though a larger one should yield better precision - at least mechanically.

My additional information is directly from a chat conversation with Frank.
