Like so many others here at DVX User, I have made the switch from being a DVX100 SD shooter to being an HVX200 HD shooter. I purchased these Firestore units thinking I would capture all of our events to hard drive, but had a change of heart when I realized I would be carrying a considerably heavier and less stealthy camera around with these units attached. And, even though the P2 cards are somewhat limiting in their capacity (for now!) I have decided that I will sell these and invest in a bunch of 32GB P2 cards instead.
I have three (3) Firestore FS-100 100GB (NTSC format) hard disk recording units available for purchase. Two of them have never been out of their box and the third has been out of the box and had the protective film removed from the control surface, but that's it. It's never been used. All units come with their original accessories and documentation and the warranties have not been registered. They are BRAND NEW!
I paid $1,630 for each of these at the initial purchase and I would like to get $1,400 for each unit. That saves you $99 off the B&H price!
I will throw in the Ben's Tutorial disc about how to use the FS-100 with the HVX200 for free with the unit that has the film removed from the control surface.
