Letus Extreme Update- New Achromat-

Just wanted ot let you all know that the Letus Extreme has been updated with a new achromat. I've been using / testing it out for the last month or so, and it is working great.

Hey Ryan, when was this update implemented? Most of the feature you mentioned are now standard, but I haven't heard anything about a new achromat. I wonder if Letus can upgrade mine.

Yes, the upgrades are standard, and have been for a while now. But I decided to make them a part of my blog post since I had not mentioned them yet, and I wanted to talk about the new achromat. The new achromat is VERY new. As for the upgrade, you'll want to contact them directly. There is a marked difference.

It does delivers an even more sharp image in the corners compare to old achromat.

Hi Ryan

When was the new achromat introduced?

I got my EX in December of last year.... is that an old one?



Does the new achromat do anything for the ground glass being visable at f4/f5.6?

If there is a new achromat, i am curious to know at what price it is available. I have no idea what achromat i have, mine was purhased and received last november.

Is this the new achromat that was designed for the EX-1? That's the only new one I know of and in my initial tests it also worked fine on the HVX but wasn't necessarily better. Mine had a problem and I received a new one that I haven't had a chance to shoot charts of yet.

Yes. The achromat Ryan has is the one from the EX1 kit.

Hopefully the new one you got will work better with the HVX. The one that I have performs a lot better then the old one I had.
