Not sure why Panasonic Canada does not follow the US promotion

They don't because they don't have to - and they know it. The Canadian market doesn't have the same level of competition that the U.S. market has. That's true in this industry and in almost all others here. Just consider banking, cosmetics, automobiles...the list is practically endless.

The reply I got from Panasonic Canada suggested that the Dealer may match any pricing and promotions from Panasonic US. So, it is up to the dealers it seems.

That's such hogwash.

If that were true, then why does Panasonic U.S.A. package a P2 card right with the HVX itself? That's not up to the dealers. Panasonic U.S.A. doesn't tell dealers to open the box and drop a P2 card in. They do it themselves.

Sorry for harping on this subject. But I'm still waiting for Panasonic Canada to come up with a genuinely legitimate excuse for not matching what Panasonic U.S.A. does. (What? Me? Bitter?)
