Shooting 480 60i

I have been asked to shoot some simple hand held material for standard def 60 field interlaced for a reality look. I have read here many times that the HVX leaves a bit to be desired in this mode. (Jaggies on diagonal lines) I have an old (original beast) Canon XL1. I can not imagine that I would be happier with the image from that than the HVX @480 60i. I assume that the difference between DVCPRO25 and DVCPRO 50 has nothing to do with this issue. Any suggestions? (I tried to get them to shoot progressive but they wanted it to look like the old Ozzy Osbourne show (JEEZ!)

"Sharonnnnn!"

This is still the best forum around.

Thank you.

Ken,

try these settings they will minimize the problems you have listed above.

Detail Level-7
V Detail-7

Good luck Rob.

I am about to go out and try this. Is the lowered detail level inconsequential because of shooting SD resolution? ( I understand that "0" detail level is actually detail enhancement). Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you. You are all the BEST!
