HVX on a custom Scene File
Shooting 1080 and 720, the file is a mix of both.
Starring: Matty G, Bruce Allen and Luis Sinibaldi

Straight from Camera, no grading. Just threw it together so grade away or whatever.

Don't harp on my on-the-fly focus pulling, I didn't have my rig on rails at the time. LoL We had fun, though! Compression makes images not so great, but eh. The DVCproHD stuff doesn't look half bad. All in all, we were just hanging out and having fun.

He's lying: Matt and Luis thought that if you pointed two RED ONES at each other and pressed Record at the exactly the same time you could create a black hole between the two cameras.

Needless to say they were wrong and only succeeded in creating a Time Portal instead.

The Vimeo is up.

Song is ANGELICA by LAMB.

Thanks for checkin' it out. We had fun.

The most important thing to note (aside from the horrible video itself) is that the Standard Speed set that was being used did NOT porthole like the others I used. It's actually pretty exciting.

looks like its weighing in at a hefty 25lbs... or maybe more? Not exactly a handheld camera?

The REDs look great. That HVX set-up you've got sounds supersexy. Any pics of your rig or is it just the REDPorn?

Just the REDPorn (LoL nice name) right now. After last night I decided that I'm gonna shoot some pics of the rig maxed out, but need to wait for the Micro mattebox to do so.

I might grab some gear just to mock it up so I can shoot some pics for my website.

As much as I despise the HVX, I always find when there's some light around and something to aim it at I start liking it again.

ah OK...So then handheld with necessities could come in at around 20lbs.
Bare essentials… and I mean bare!

Don't be afraid of weight. It'll help steady your shots and you get smoother movements out of it.

Many, many of the 2/3 shoulder form-factor cameras come in between 20 and 35 lbs. when functionally outfitted. We had 32 pound handheld F900s on April Fools Day - totally normal operating weight.

RED isn't outside the norm, but 30 pounds will always feel like 30 pounds!
