I've used my HVX200 in a number of nighttime, outdoor settings where I cannot light the scene. Most recently at an outdoor concert. The stage had spot lighting on each of 4 performers (not a rock concert - very static - no movement). To the eye they appeared well lit enough. I was able to sit on the side of the stage just 15 to 25 feet from the performers. The HVX was not able to deal with the low light situation. I was shooting 720pn30. Any settings I can explore to better my low light performance?
Side note: I recently shot a reality show. The other cam was a Sony HDV cam and their low light performance seemed much better as I struggled to get much of a shot in some situations they had no problem.
I'd really like to figure this out. The low light thing is my only complaint with the HVX.
Any thoughts, advice?
