You know you're a filmmaker when...

When you won't put LED garden lights in your landscaping because they don't color-match your gas lamp and gels knock them down too many stops.

When the client/EP yells at you for not getting the shot he wanted.

The contents of you suitcase for NAB Vegas consist of only the following four items:

Except possibly its location.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!!!! LOL.

Though, at least the Roanoke Star can be seen from over 60 miles away at night (from the air)... There is alot to be said for air you can breath instead of see!!!! :violent5:

But back to filmmaking....

But because I, too, would like to return to the topic at hand. I will offer another one:

You know you are a filmmaker when...
Your wife asks if you would "like lettuce on this" and you have to think twice.

Keep them coming! These are gold!

You attempt to convince your date that removing her undergarments is an artistically motivated furtherance of the plot.

Picking on the tourist joke:

A couple of tourists ask you to take a picture of them. You grab the camera and spend half an hour looking for the manual controls, finding "unique angles", annoying the heck out of them.

You have the incredible ability of annoying your friends and family by having your mind transport you to different "places", where you are visually imagining plots and stories, all this while they are talking about serious issues, like their bosses, the raise of the cost of food, the neighbours daughter, uncle Scott's bad temper, etc.

When the contents of your living room would be better suited to the back of a grip truck.

When you (multiple times) bridge pillars, ditches, and other road hazards because you just have to write down that plot, title, or idea so you don't forget it.

You keep your digital camera in the car and circle back to take a photo of a potential location, even though you are already late to wherever you were headed to in the first place.

You qualify all non-standard purchases with, I can use this as a prop.

Every person you meet regardless of the situation, is immediately sized up as a potential actor/actress in one of you future projects.

:Drogar-Dum(DBG):

Either my cold has fried my brain or I'm just too old but..... I don't get it.

When you bring your MacBook Pro to a public highschool and use it during p.e. just so you make sure you can get all your idea's down in the perfect format in final draft.:D
