"I ****ING HATE YOU" – a film by SABI

This was my favorite film in the fest and one of the best I've seen in any dvxfest. The acting (and by extension directing) and story were superb. I think those are the two most important aspects of a short and we (myself included) being a camera community sometimes overlook them for cinematography and tech stuff. But it was my kind of story so I'm sure I'm biased. Both leads were incredible. John's song was hilarious. The editing flowed amazingly well. Nice work.

thanks, Tim. i've learned fans of IFHY were a very passionate niche, evidenced by all the personal messages sent my way in the last few hours. and truthfully, i'd rather connect with a select few deeply, than a wide audience broadly. so for those that admired the truncated version of IFHY....

...here's the 9 minute cut of I F*CKING HATE YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Dammit, you've convinced me to purchase Heart of Now.

Shame on you.
Shame. On. You.

You were already in my Top three. But if this cut was the one in the fest, you would've placed first on my list.

Really, really spectacular work. On all levels.

...so when's NOW coming? I need to read the screenplay again, I've already forgotten what it was about...

I think the opening scene really does make this a stronger piece. The acting in this just has such a natural and spontaneous feel throughout that it's great. Some of the other movies I would say had stronger acting moments, but in many cases they also felt planned and rehearsed which is amazingly not the case here. For what it is, it couldn't have been done any better imo.

And I'm looking forward to Hey, I'm F*cking Timing You.

:) this ghost?

I really liked the 9 minute version, the first scene added a whole lot to it. I never got the email with the password, but it wasn't too hard to guess

I'm late, but wanted to say nice work. I echo Tim's comments in that it was nice to see something in which the story stood out above the technical means by which it was created. I know the technical part was in there of course, but it was hidden away like a good score that you never hear... and that isn't easy to pull off around here with so many technical eyes watching.

I wish I could have been there to see the evolution of the story. Great job by the actors.

I'm glad to see the little HV20 kicking some butt

Okay, here's something that illustrates my complete lack of professionalism. Normally, when one of your cinematographers get in the shot, you don't use it. or you roto him out.

But in this case, it's Matt Garrett (Matty_g) in a well deserved cameo appearance. I'll roto him out eventually, but for LoveFest... THE KID STAYS IN THE PICTURE!!!

sad to say, I have rotoscoped Matt Garrett out of the picture. sorry Matt.
