Heavyweight Boxing - Wladimir Klitschko vs. Sultan Ibragimov

Anybody watching this fight today? I have to get up at 5 a.m. to watch it  Damn timeshift as always.

What I hear from the media over here, it seems like heavyweight boxing is quite dead in the USA. What do you think about it?

I am actually quite excited about tonight's fights, but because of the undercard. Irish John Duddy is fighting, and if he wins, you can bet that he will be the next to take on Kelly Pavlik. THAT should a good battle, and it probably will be at MSG, so I might just get to go see it.

Heavyweights? Meh. That division has been boring since Mike Tyson went to jail.

I literally just hung up from a dreadful call... I couldn't get a baby sitter and my friend had a VIP pass for me to get in with the Klitschko crew.

I'm a MMA fan. The sports come a long way in a short time.

I don't watch boxing unless it interests me for some reason - like the Anthony Mundine V Danny Green fight.

The leg up that MMA has over boxing is that the ppv's are FAR better and the top fighters actually fight one another.

It's rare to see a top fighter in MMA w/a perfect record. The old saying is that if a fighter is undefeated then he hasn't fought anybody. Just look at how many boxers have unblemished records filled with soft competition.

Anyhow.... not a fan of the Klitschko bros. Lennox Lewis was the last great Heavyweight champ. Also, bet the house on Joe Calzaghe to beat Hopkins (ole' Popkins) hands down.

Sorry for you Jay!

Well, I was a little bit disappointed by the fight. I mean, Klitschko dominated the fight and clearly won. But Ibragimov boxing southpaw kept the fight from having a good flow. So Klitschko sticked to to his quite boring tactic. I think he should have risked a little bit more to knock him out.

I am also a big fan of MMA, but a good traditional boxing fight is still very interesting. In germany boxing is still quite popular.
