100B-PAL 16:9 footage is not sharp

Does anyone have an idea why my 16:9 footage is not coming sharp. I have the camera both set at 16:9 for the record mode and LCD display.

I thought it might not be enough light but I am using the same light set up as other shoots that came out okay.

Am I missing something when shooting 16:9 in PAL?
Are there some settings I should check?
Are there setting to improve this?

TIA

master ped should be low.. have detail -4 or something..

then as we all know it squeezes the image.. so it suffers a bit from that..

16:9 without an anamorphic adapter, will cause minor quality loss. I think it's like 17-25 percent, but it's no biggie, as you can't really tell...

Can you post your camera settings? And a screen grab?

I shoot 16:9, SQUEEZE, and my footage looks really good.

Make sure you zoom in, focus till it's sharp, then zoom back out a bit.

PAL footage looks a lot better than NTSC in my huge opinion, so I think it's just you doing something wrong...

But please pose your settings with a grab, it could clear up some things...

Is it a used camera? How many hours on the heads?

Before I get a chance to post a screen grab i thought I would put my settings up to see if anything screams out "BOZO"

were you shooting wide open? compared to maybe stopping the lens down a few in your other shots? are you sure you were in focus?

Your footage isn't sharp when viewed on what display? If it is a natively progressive display it might be doing something weird when it is deinterlacing your footage.

I was at 5.6 when shooting using auto focus and not zoomed in.
I'm shooting F1 and viewing on a computer monitor.

My settings and conditions haven't changed from tens of shooting assignments. I'm filming demonstrations done behind a table. The only thing that has really changed is the squeeze mode.
