Looking to Shoot some Music Videos

Hi Everyone -

a lot of you know my HVX work from the forums here and if not here's a handful of links below. Anyhow - as usual I find myself swamped at work, but I'm getting bored of the same old song and dance and looking to move more into the shooting/directing music video realm. I have alot of great narrative projects this year too that I am pumped about - but basically im looking to phase out jobs that I shoot only because of the money (like industrials) and replace them with music videos and other creative pieces. East Coast based, but travel more than Im home. I thought I'd put that out there if anyone is looking for a collaborator or DP for hire. Check out my stuff and PM me if you're interested

You really don't want that headache my friend. The game has gotten worser everyday since the 911 economic downturn. Unless it is a real passion I'd find some other creative diversion. I'm trying to do more industrials but I absolutely love music so I'll always do videos.

Don't turn away the bread and butter for a bit of music video fluff. I'd say to do both as a lot of music video stuff doesn't really pay the bills. I really liked your reel too. I think also that living up in Vermont is part of your frustration too. I know it was when I lived in NH. There's not a lot of diversity and you probably do tend to do more industrials and talking heads. I'd say that it might be time to do another short or a feature and have that occupy your passion and let the paying gigs keep you afloat. That's kind of my thing here. I do a lot of crap to make cash, then work on my personal projects for myself or friends to keep myself sane and inspired. CHEERS
