my wedding demo reel.

this is my first wedding demo reel. most of them were filmed before i had my fluid head tripod (hence the shake) and some were before i was totally comfortable with my dvx (hence the grain). however, i'm pretty happy with it and the clients seem to be very happy with the end product. criticisms and tips are more then welcome. thanks!

41 views and no replies? c'mon, dudes! is it taking too long to load or something? tear me a new one. i can take it.

It took WAY too long to load. WAY. The opening shot on the chandelier was a little long also. Besides that, I thought it was really good. A few shots were out of focus, and I couldn't tell if the color changes were edited in (it looks like they were...I might go lighter on the colors). I probably would have ended with something other than the car. Overall, good content, a good reel that I believe will get you work.

When you compress your video in quicktime make sure to check the fast start option. That way the video doesn't have to fully load before it starts to play. Anything longer then 10 seconds to start playing is to long

so if my computer at home dont have internet and i have my demo thats on a dvd already but it was recorded off my timeline into my dvd recorder will that have enough compression for youtube?

thanks for the tip, silverwolf. i'll do that.

also, thanks for the criticism/compliments. i agree that the chandelier shot is a little long. that was how i opened one of the wedding vids and i figured it was a pretty good shot. maybe i should have sped it up a tad...

keep 'em coming!

i have quick time so if i take my demo turn it into qt file can i put it to dvd from there or do i have to author it before i go from qt to dvd?
