What DV would you take to Paris?

I am taking a group of art history students to Paris and the Loire Valley for 10 days. Primarily, I will be shooting stills but I am reluctant to haul my 100b. What would you take?
I need to get another mini dv to use for downloading the 100b tape to my Mac. Any suggestions? My old Panasonic DV951 just plays back with a really weird pattern no matter how much I use the cleaning tape. Thanks in advance for any help since I a still shooter by profession:thumbsup:.
 
Hmmm... the HV20 sounds like the perfect cam to take, but I don't think it'll be much use to use as a deck for your DVX tapes.

Wait... will the HV20 playback regular SD dvx tapes without issue's?? someone will chime in with the answer.
 
Which DV to Paris? mmmmmm... Dita Von Teese maybe.

I kid of course. Some of the Sony handicams are nice and light and cheap. I've got a DCR-PC5 ($100 used) that I would travel with. I appreciate not wanting to take your 100b overseas w/ a large group though.
