Anti-Piracy Ad Spoof - Just for laughs!

Hi Everyone,

As we had nothing else better to do with our lives, we filmed a parody of your typical anti-piracy ad as a supplement of faux ads before the grand premiere of our feature presentation, Incrimination

We shot this the week before the screening in a total of about 3 hours; with most of the things completely improvised and spontaneous on our part. For those of you who are slightly more critical like me, we really wanted a cheesy feel to it and overused the servo zoom and we did steal some footage/music from the original ad, which is available HERE (Click)

To be completely honest, we just did this video for laughs (And there are some in-jokes) but I just thought it might be fun to share it with you guys to brighten up your day (:

Hehe, nice - I personally would've the Catholic school girl one 'slightly' differently, but nice.

It grieves me the thought of an actor having to accept less than 20 million a movie because someone has illegally downloaded their film.
That would be tragic.
 
Heh, good stuff. I thought the VO was not needed for the most part, and seemed out of place, but other than that, I dug it.
 
That was great. The only critiques would be what was said, that the voice over was a bit awkward, and that in your first scene of him the hobo looked like he might have been out of composure for a bit. Otherwise, wonderfully done. For the sake of the industry and, more importantly, smaller production teams, piracy is a large problem. But it's not quite the same as stealing someone's slightly more expensive car.
 
Haha true. Hmmm. Do you think people would still get the idea if I put just text only without the v/o? That was the original plan but I thought the title card was too flashy and some people might not get it unless it were reinforced by voice.
 
haha dude, that was mad funny. i thought the voice over worked, but yea, very good, it actually had me laughing. good job man.
 
Haha thanks guys. Any areas that I could improve in for future shoots like this? I usually do action flicks lol. Feel free to be honest!

I actually showed this to my team during our last meeting, at which time I thought about this subject more. At first it seems like the voice over takes away a bit, until it's realized that you can't do all of that in text. So I retract my previous statement, it's a necessity to have the narration like that. Again, well done.
 
It matches the original, right? The VO that is. I thought the VO was pretty good.

Gabage Day!!! Freakin' funny.

The original is so stupid to begin with I cringe every time I see it. "Hobo shows!" etc really payed off and nice editing. Excellent work, please make more.
