My very first music video - critique away

Just shot my first music video a couple of days ago with a country singer. Shot with the HVX, 720 30pn. Magic Bullet Looks used in post. Some 60fps slomo footage. Did this one
by myself, only assistance was a friend of the singer holding a reflector.

The singer has a connection with GAC (Great American Country) cable network and
if the video is up to par, it will go on. Help me get it there! Any and all comments and
critiques welcome. 80 meg file.

Not bad, some of the shots were a little overexposed, and somewhere around the middle I could see your shadow on the singer when he was sitting in the truck.

I agree not bad, def some overexposed shots. I don't know if you were the director or not, but as a director and even a DP you need to have talent open his mouth more when he sings. He barely moves his lips and its looks a little odd. Most of the time when doing a music video you gotta ham it up a little bit.

He was standing in the shade. I exposed for his face, but the grass in the BG blew out a bit. Is there a cure for this in post? I have a spot exposure control in magic bullet, but it seems to only be possible in the spot, not outside it.

A bit more shot variety would have been nice... some nicely frame and smoothly panned shots would have looked good. You had one shot that was kind of doing that but then it should have cut away, but it just stayed there lingering.

As above, a few over-exposed shots. It's hard to expose for the talent and the background... but I guess if you keep practicing you'll get the hang of it! Hope it all works out with getting the video shown on TV!
