Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles

Well I watched it finally. All I have to say is I refuse to believe in a universe where Dean Winters cannot just kick ass on all of those Terminators bastard. I mean, seriously? He is the master of machines. He is the beeper king...

Uhhh, how come Serenity Terminator girl could mimic perfect high-school teenage mannerisms in the first episode, but now she can't communicate in the most basic way with other students?

This show is getting really stupid really fast.

I noticed that inconsistency as well...But it wasn't a bad episode. I was kind of shocked by one plot development, and the stuff with the Terminator trying to rebuild himself was pretty cool.

Well, any way you slice it, it's a good thing the school didn't have a metal detector. :)

No argument with you on that one. :D Actually, now that you mention it, this show needs a Terminator-through-the-metal-detector scene. :Drogar-Evil(DBG):

Didn't see much of last night's episode, but in the pilot, the only person she was really interacting with was John. Is it possible that she was programmed specifically to talk to him, and now she's reverted to what seems to be the standard lack of interpersonal skills that we've come to expect from Terminators?

And, SPOILER FOR EPISODE THREE--

Was I really seeing somebody getting ready to "re-skin" a Terminator in a bathtub? :D

If you are the security guard pretecting a school from smuggled weapons, it's always best to take the kid's word for it and only scan the "plate in the head". You wouldn't want to actually scan the body for weapons.

I didn't remember Cameron acting like a teen aged chick in the pilot, but remember her acting odd, so I watched that episode again. She does not seem real or natural at all and just as strange as she is now.

Just watched it again. Cant disagree more. She was very flirtatious, sure in what she was saying and said:

"Did you just move here?"

"ya"

"Sucks for you."

but in the latest she had a VERY hard time with the "lingo".

She comes across as a "special needs" student in Eps3, but she was VERY natural in Eps1.

Going into the first episode, I had no idea who the terminator's were played by, as soon as I saw her and the way she acted, I knew she was the good terminator.

She looks so out of place. I never bought that she was a high school student, nor did I buy the way she acted around John.

I missed the last two times, but caught up online.

It's pretty good. Nothing gripping or "wow" yet, but it's entertaining, and the recent episode when John was stuck in the bunker, I was on the edge of my seat. Every episode seems to be entertaining too, keeping things fresh. Didn't like "turk" all too much, but I liked Heavy Metal. Showed how much John can't get away from the Hero role, despite the trouble he gets into.

Just don't like how the first ep, Cameron was able to act like a regular girl (and claimed to be different), yet in the recent episodes, she acts like an idiot robot that doesn't know what to do at school. Doesn't make sense to me.

Totally agree about Cameron's personality -- or lack of one.

Also in the last episode they said something about not being able to recognize Cromarty because he'd have a new face -- yet Cameron seems to be able to identify robots just fine, doesn't she?

I'm curious -- why were you on the edge of your seat? Did you ever doubt for a minute that John was going to get out of it unscathed?

They can't identify him by his face, but can scan him for the size of his exoskeleton.

Ugh, I sound like a dork.

Well you always expect the main character to get out alive, especially for TV shows (even though there are always exceptions). Doesn't mean I didn't feel nervous for him or that I didn't get into the moment. What's the point of telling yourself "well he's obviously going to get out fine, so who cares"?
