Trailer: "Till You Get To Baraboo"

Here's a link to a trailer for my new film, "Till You Get To Baraboo". The movie was shot entirely on an HVX-200: http://youtube.com/watch?v=jwxvfp1d96w

We've been getting a lot of attention lately because one of our stars, Jennifer Siebel, just got engaged to the mayor of San Francisco, Gavin Newsom. Here's a link to an article that features our trailer: http://sfist.com/2008/01/22/watch_producerh.php

Congrats on the article.

The trailer is okay. A little bit confused about why he likes these girls that are getting married and such. Also, gotta be honest, the sound is really bugging me. Especially compared to the VO. The VO is pretty nice quality, whereas on set sounds very amateur. I should talk, the sound is awful on my film as well, lol.

I share his sentiments. Especially on a trailer with so many bits of dialogue, sound has to be consistent.

The sound is really poor on this.

Sounds like an on camera mic was used... or a very poor quality mic stuck to a boom pole.

One thing i noticed was the camera shake in your tracking shot... that took me out of it as much as the sound.

The titles are the beginning scream 'amateur' as does the sound quality.

overall, not a very good trailer. A trailer should be as well constructed as any scene in your film and have the same attention to the A/V as well.

Lokks very good, sound was a distraction, I can say that the parts with the music def made me think I was watching a real hollywood trailer. Looks clever as well...

Thanks for the comments, everyone.

We're still in post and are ironing out the sound problems, trying to get rid of that "camera mic" quality (no, we didn't use an on-camera mic but we did have some sound problems). We'll most likely end up doing ADR for some scenes.
