Does anybody else have the problem that when you turn the camera off, or go back and forth between CAMERA and MEDIA modes, you always get "Media needs to be Restored. Restore Media now? prompts?
Is there a way to by pass this. It's time consuming if you're in a rush.
I only have a couple of cards and at the moment they have important
content on them, so I can't reformat them right now.
Everytime I do the restore it prompts me to, everything is fine again although it does say it wasn't able to restore everything. But I can play back all my material. I just don't know why I have to go through this step everytime I power up the camera or switch modes.
The only other variable is that I did delete clips on both cards today before I started new recordings. Could it be trying to restore clips I deleted on purpose?
yes i had this problem too. i remember i couldnt figure out why it happened, but my assumption is that it was based on some fiddling with footage when the cards were mounted on the computer. all in all, its a scary situation to think that this could happen in the middle of a shoot when trying to suck footage in.
