Has anyone seen this happen?
Import footage from the EX1 into FCP and, when reviewing the imported footage, see it fluctuate in exposure and color balance. It can be seen in the built-in waveform monitor and seen in the viewer.
Exposure fluctuates every 10 or 12 frames, and there's a shift in color balance as well, going between slightly green and slightly magenta.
Now here's the odd thing: Looking at the imported file in Quicktime, there's no flicker. And exporting the file to ProRes HQ, there's still no flicker. And advancing frame-by-frame in FCP doesn't flicker either.
So the flickering is entirely within FCP and only when playing back a clip at normal speed.
I'm using version 6.0.2 and QT 7.4 on a MacBook Pro. I haven't had a chance to try it with a lower version of QT on my 2.5 GHz G5.
This won't kill my production process. But it is annoying.
