Hey beno --- almost no color correction. Michael did all the post for this, as he does for most of his films. Everything looks like it did on set and Michael did only minimal adjustments to some images.

I am a huge fan of getting it right the first time around. Michael likes that too, which helps when were both nit picking on set. We've developed a really good dynamic together. In fact unless its for an extremely stylized purpose, nothing I shoot gets color corrected.

+3 on all the detail settings, which has become my personal standard with any 35mm adapter.

I usually prefer CineV, as despite what others say, I feel it is clean and the blacks are always silky smooth ---- plus it looks good and leaves less need for correction. All my footage is super clean and I live by CineV..... That being said this piece was CineD, because we wanted things muted and less contrasty - especially when dealing with the snow...


which reminds me..... I am amazingly impressed with the way the adapter handled the snow. We managed to shoot this thing entirely in the snow with a prosumer video camera and have it look fantastic!! My biggest fear is that shooting the snow and fighting exposure would reveal all the video weaknesses. On the opposite side things came out quite amazingly!!
 
Another beautiful short... you guys really inspire me. The cinematography, composition, music selection... everything is perfect.

How long did you spend shooting? Were all of the shots planned beforehand, or did you guys "shoot from the hip"?
 
We shot for 2 days. All the shots were planned out in advance and storyboarded by Michael with Digital Stills and Stand Ins
 
Sheesh. You guys are good. Michael, although a lot of people can't get into the silent stuff, its clear you know what the F you're doing. Keep it coming! My brother and I are working on an Untitled Michael Fischer Parody. Stay tuned.

Yeah, um, you guys could do that but you should know that I pretty much have the rights to all decent pre-existing classical music that's currently available. There might be a couple Rachmaninoff concertos you could scrounge for. Also, if that is in fact the title, there is no "c" in Fisher. Thanks for taking a look and for the feedback!

Hey Nathan what's the red color I see on the HVX eye piece, and is the handle on the front something new from the micro?

yes the handle is something new from redrock. It was one of several new redrock products we were testing that shoot.

The red thing is an eye chamois. I use the viewfinder whenever possible so I always use an eyepiece chamois to cut down on eye fatigue and moisture buildup.

The leather ones are much better in the summer and the felt in the winter, IMHO
