Wish I had time to do a detailed test but at least here is a still from my short film:

I love seeing images vs words!!! Keep trying to one up each other! :)

And yes the SGpro sample looks softer but that may not mean the SGpro is softer adapter. Quick someone post an SGpro pic to compete :) !

Those other samples above my post have some better results.

The Letus shot was on an FX-1, with a Sears FD 28mm 2.8. Those Sears lenses rock! If you see one on e-bay snatch it up. I got mine for 8 bucks.

What do you mean by 'Sears' ? That's a new term to me. Is that a third party lens maker for canon (because fd is a canon mount)?

Sears used to sell a bunch of 35mm camera lenses under their brand. Who manufactured them I don't know, probably Japanese. But you can find them on ebay in a variety of different mounts, including Canon FD. This is what I got--

That's sweet! I like you rockin' the Sears Bokeh. It's where America Shops, right?

your camera settings look different, they all seem to resolve about the same detial, just the Brevis one is Very edge enhanced.

infact the sharpest grab you have is the SGpro one of the out door faucet

I had my detail level set to 0 and didn't sharpen in post. It could be that the increased contrast makes it look sharper though.

Marco, I really like your work. The best way I could describe it is a cosmopolitan feel, and it's there in your "vista vision" frame grabs too.

Btw, there's some CA very visible on the SG pro grab...right where the white collar goes to his neck. Might be a good idea to do some lens testing ?

i saw that too. makes me a little worried..... i'm ordering an SGpro tomorrow!!!

what do you think caused it? i haven't noticed any CA on other SGpro stuff. could it be the taking lens or the camera or god forbid the SGpro?

What do you mean by CA? Its possible this was just inexperience, I did these grabs the hour I got the adapter home....

I noticed that, but couldn't tell if it was CA, or his shirt collar just had a purple fringe on it.

Not sure as you said you used a Canon FD 50mm, which shouldn't have much CA. I get that kind of aberration on the Sony's built-in lens when zoomed in all the way.
