BIG MEETING with producers.......kimko

well the contract is here. but trying to make heads or tails of this is impossible, so i had a friend (an agent) look at it and she had her business rep look at it. there are some points i need to straighten out with these producers. but from what i'm hearing the stipulations may be common with reality series? man it's not to my liking that's for damn sure! anyways.... over and out...kimko
 
I'm doing pretty well. It sounds like things are going better for you, though. I can't wait to see the final product.
 
hey congrats!

its tough to tell sometimes those contract points which are clearly in favor of the producers but which are kind of "standard" and mean you probably won't get screwed vs. the "run for the hills" type stipulations. From my limited experience, it's my understanding that more often than not, until you're famous or something you have to make the decision to trust them in order to get whatever it is green lit.

What's the showbiz adage? First time around they get you, second time around you get them.

Anyway, congrats again and good luck sorting out the sticking points and what's worth fighting for.

It'll be cool to see this thing progress :beer:
 
thanks guys, at this point i'll almost do anything but the committment of a few years is at the said price is absurd....like you will get paid only if it gets this or if it gets that......i'd like to download this "agreement" for you guys but i'm going to have to wait til shot and all contracts are a go...then if the lawyer says it's ok then i will put it up for all to see...it' will be good experience for yous to look at for future reference. as Jack says (which the agent concurs): it is standard but these reality shows really got you by the walnuts the first time around then if it goes well and my "personality" is a hit well...SHOW ME THE MONEY! OR BEND OVER AND BE ME HONEY!
 
well Jack......it's good you don't know..lol...... yeah Mark let me handle your negotiations, then no one will ever consider you for anything again!!!!!! cause i just f@#$ things up!!!!!!!!!! like i did for my career!!! i speak my mind, and in holi wood that's blasphamy!!!!!!! learn to take it like a sheman.....yeah right!!! i just can't kiss ass that i don't like! anyways......i meet with the agent today to "disgust" the contract.... oh boy....
 
oh jeez, just got an e-mail saying the 18th instead of the 11th of this month?!!! this has been going on since nov. last year...... hahahahahahahaha..............
