Is there a next NYC owners/users meet planned?

I'll bring it all, minus the slider. Not feelin' the slider on the 7 + 6 train in rush hour.

Besides, I'm sending it back to indifocus who is going to be sending me a new one and I'm not even sure it will be back in time. Lookin' forward to the meet!
 
I'll be there (thanks for the PM heads-up about it, Kwan!). I can bring my Steadicam Pilot if there's interest in seeing it.
 
If it's not too much trouble to bring it, I for one would like to see the Pilot.

I can also bring my Redrock M2 if people want to see it...

What time will the meeting go until? If possible I would love to attend but I'll be stuck editing in Englewood Cliffs, NJ until 7pm at the earliest.

I just recently purchased a HVX, upgrading from Sony HDV and have been looking for a HVX users group.

Parking is free after 6:00pm between (but Please check the sign) 44th, 45th Street from 8th to 9th ave.
Do not park your car on "Aevnue"
Avenue and other street = Parking free "after 7:00"

Hey Kwan, thanks for having everyone and it was great to finally meet you after like, what, a year of talking here and there to you. It will be fun to work with you on something soon. I will dump the pictures tomorrow night. I have to dump tapes tonight from something I shot in Albany a week ago. Been slacking because of the music. :P

Yo, thanks a bunch for hostin us at your spot, Kwan. It was nice to see everyone's toys, and fun playing with toy cars AND that damn SILVERBACK MULTITOOL - I'll let Kwan review that one.... I was on the train home thinking "Kwan has so many toys in there. How did we get stuck with the multitool?" Not that theres anything wrong with that. Just that I'll probably be around another multitool before im around say a another chromatte setup, jib w/ turret head, indi dolly, etc...

Thanks Aram. Good luck in Boston as well. Now get out and promote your people. Now that I'm invested into your artists I expect to see big things! :)

Thanks Kwan for hosting another NYC meet. It was great seeing the Silverback dolly in action and the IndiFocus for the first time, not to mention the Carrion and Nebtek monitors. Very informative.

More corroborating data points on the LEX and Brevis too, which still have me concerned about my upcoming LEX re: edge softness. The Brevis showed some too. Hmm...

Great to meet more local HVXers as well! Networking is key...

Thanks a ton for the great hospitality and getting out all your gear.
It was nice to see many items I'd only still be reading about.
Especially checking out first hand the 35mm adaptors and seeing the pro's and cons of them.
And getting to see some quality monitors.

It was great meeting everyone and getting to know some real personality behind the names in the forum. Next time I'll make sure I have something to contribute.
So I guess it's time for me to do more filming and less stills!

Hi guys, it was great to meet all of you the other day. I haven't had time to sit down yet trying to get ready for Boston and also promoting the show at Don Hills Feb 22nd. There seems not to be enough time in the day lately to do everything.
 
Crap. I'm new to this forum and to the DVX, having just bought my DVX 2 weeks ago, and I missed this. I'm in Park Slope/Bklyn and would have loved to come out. Oh well, I guess there's always next time. Sounds like it was very informative and a lot of fun.
 
Definitely next time C_Smith. Keep an eye out. Kwan was talking about having these alot more frequently so look out for the next announcement.

Just curious how everyone liked the carrion? how did it compared to the nebtek? (and which nebtek was it) I've seen the marshall with the nebtek battery plate, but I thought nebtek was coming out with their own, which I haven't seen.
