Computer monitor as field monitor without laptop? Component to DVI?

I would like to use a computer monitor/LCD as field monitor without laptop. Is there a HQ component to DVI/VGA solution?


I´ve tested some a cuple of years ago, but the they weren´t really good enough qualitywise. Is there anything good on the market now?

I wouldn´t understand if not, since computer monitors are much cheaper...
 
I don't think so. Component is analog and DVI is digital as I understand it.

You can go DVI to HDMI but not component to anything digital
 
My 19" LCD works fine with an HDMI-DVI cable, as I would assume all others with a DVI input do.

399,- is OK, do they have a PAL model?

I am looking for a field monitor which I can use for the HVX200. It only has FW, S-VHS and component output.

I also want to use this as a monitor for Avid´s Mojo, which has analog S-VHS and component output.


So I probably need a component to VGA adapter/changer.
