Is there a next NYC owners/users meet planned?

I would come to any of the locations decided on. Unfortunately, the 28th is pool league night in Brooklyn, so it's out for me.
 
D'oh, there goes my ride.

Hopefully someone will drive from Brooklyn Prospect Park area or Park Slope, etc and I can put in for some gas.

85 minutes by subway/path :(
23 minutes by car :)

EDIT: woops missed the post that 42nd and 8th in NY can be available. Would much prefer that unless everyone is already in hoboken. With the PATH the only subway in/out of NJ, Manhattan is much better for all people in the buroughs. The going into the city to go out to NJ thing is somewhat prohibitive for those of us in the burroughs without cars. If that's only me then I'll shut my yap :)

Well, so far we have two in Brooklyn, one in Manhattan, and three in Northern NJ. Let's give it a couple more days and see if anyone else responds. If you're coming by car, Hoboken is only a few more minutes past 42nd and 8th, but if by subway/PATH, I know it can be a pain to get out to Jersey (I do it everyday on my way home!).
 
No no no, I just meant taking the subway to the PATH (in Manhattan). But I have made the trek to Brooklyn and Queens for several shoots since I moved to Hoboken, so I can appreciate the long-as-hell commute.

Jack, I completely understand your reluctance to make the trek by public trans from Brooklyn to Hoboken. Living in Hoboken, I probably wouldn't make the trek to B'lyn for a meeting either. But, for those in Manhattan... Hoboken is a very easy and convenient trip. I'm always amazed at how many people "won't" come to Hoboken. Their loss.... ;-)
I can easily make it in to midtown for a mtg - provided I'm available on the chosen date. It's easier for me to plan to make a meeting in the next week or 2 rather than 3-6 weeks out. Oh, the freelance life.

Right, I totally agree, but there is only one person in Manhattan so far. It's all burroughs and Jersey otherwise ... so, middle ground equals manhattan.

I lived in Jersey City when I first moved here for the 2nd of three times. So I know how easy it is from the city. If there were a ton of people in the city that would make sense. But as it is - with only one person in the city and the rest in Jerz or the burroughs, manhattan makes more sense to me.
 
Let's do it on Monday 1/28 at Kwan's studio then. Is 6pm ok? Hard for me to leave work early enough to be there at 5.

If it's that early (6), Mark might be able to come, I think pool is later.

So, if we are set for this, I suggest that at least some us add a note about the meeting in our signature lines. That might raise a little awareness about the meeting since there are only about 6 or 7 of us who seem to be following this thread actively.

Kwan, is this definitely a go?

I am planning to bring my new Carrion monitor, provided that it arrives in time. Was supposed to have shipped on Tuesday, but I haven't received it yet.

Arrik, would be cool if you could bring your monitor at least. I'm really hoping that I will have my Carrion (the new LCD made by Luis Sinabaldi) for Monday.
