Just got my copy of "Mastering the Sony PMW-EX1" and it's worth every penny

I'm picking up the camera the first week of feb

I saw that on B&H. I was wondering if it's worth a $100. Anything special tricks or settings that were not mentioned in the EX1 manual?

Even though buying the EX may have broken our bank accounts I think this DVD is a worthy investment. Id pay $35 bucks an hour to hear some pro tips on this machine. The forums are free so it balances out. Im getting mine soon as I can.

When you get your camera you'll find it even more valuable. Like you, I ordered mine and watched it before the camera, and was very impressed (far easier and much more useful than the manual).

Now that I have my camera (yesterday :) ) it's become even more valuable.

Sure there's a lot of stuff in it that most here would consider "basic" but there's a lot of other stuff too - stuff I hadn't learnt from reading this and every other forum I could find since Christmas Eve.

Highly recommended.
