Music Video - The Sweet Homewreckers - "Wild America"

This was my second music video shot on the HVX.
It's for a Canadian band called The Sweet Homewreckers.

There is a cameo by Kelly from Kelly & The KellyGirls (whose video I will post here soon as well... that one has a neat story behind it).

This was directed by myself, and the DP was Darren White.

Let me know your thoughts.

haha that was pretty cool. Some of the shaddows were spilling onto the walls which kinda annoyed me a little.. but it was a catchy tune and well cut together. What did you have the settings at? Did you do much colour correction?
 
Great video, cool song, good humor, well directed and shot. What's not to like.
I really enjoy it when I see something creative, something that doesn't look like evrything else. Good acting too.

Ha. wow. eh.. thanks. You are too flattering.

Seriously though, I'm glad people like the video.

We used a 0.6 Wide angle adapter on the HVX for pretty much every shot.

What did you have the settings at? Did you do much colour correction?

Can't quite remember the setting. However, by default I ask my DPs to use Cine-gamma... and Cine-matrix. I think we dialed down some of the skin detail as well.
I did tons of post-work on this. Here's a before & after shot:
